AutoCAD Level I  (Dates and Times)

In this 2-day program participants will learn the fundamentals of using AutoCAD including: drawing setup, using help, file maintenance, layers, creating basic objects and using basic dimensioning. The session will include hands-on project work.

AutoCAD Level II  (Dates and Times)

Beyond level I, participants will continue creating, moving and modifying objects, work with advanced dimensioning techniques, reviewing the drawing setup process and finally cover plotting and printing setups. A variety of project work including creating a floor plan and designing a bookend will be done.

AutoCAD Level III  (Dates and Times)

Upon completion of the level III AutoCAD program participants will start creating building blocks and symbol libraries to further increase their efficiency at using the AutoCAD program.

Illustrator Level I (Dates and Times)

Using this powerful graphics program participants will utilize a menu bar, the tools panel and the control panel and create several projects which can then be incorporated into web sites and print material.

Illustrator Level II (Dates and Times)

Advanced topics covered will include: Working with type and layers, blending colors, and working with symbols as well as how to use Illustrator graphics with other applications.

In Design Level I (Dates and Times)

Using this professional design and page layout program will assist you in creating effective print materials. Learn how to work with frames, import and edit text and control typography within your document. Projects will include flyers, posters and newsletters.

Intro to Flash Animation (Dates and Times)

Further enhance your website by adding animation elements. Using Adobe Flash participants will create animation clips which can be used in movies and web sites.

Intro to HTML (Dates and Times)

Using code when creating web pages gives participants a greater degree of control over the final product. Participants will learn how to design your web page using HTML code as well as edit existing code on current web sites.

Intro to Web Design (Dates and Times)

This 2-day program introduces the participants to the basics of building a web site. You will begin by exploring good and bad web sites, recognizing web site components and software requirements. Using a variety of templates participants will have completed a basic web site and will be ready to upload to a hosting site.

PhotoShop Elements Level I (Dates and Times)

Participants will be taught the basic skills needed in order to work with photos in this popular program. Learn how to fix faded pictures, straighten a crooked picture, fix red eyes & crop pictures. After an introduction to color and layers learn how to color a portion of a picture, how to erase a background and how to save a Photoshoped picture in a variety of formats. Participants will learn a variety of tools in the toolbox including the drawing tools, fill options, text tools, paint brushes and the Cookie cutter tool.

PhotoShop Elements Level II    (Dates and Times)

After exploring Photoshop preferences, participants will use advanced marquee tools including the Magic Wand and Magic Eraser tools. Learn how to cut out an object from a picture and place into another. Using the Type Mask tool cut out letters from background patterns and place them onto other photos. With the use of Advanced Layering and the Advanced Brush Tools participants will learn how to touch up a photo and create some special effects.

PhotoShop Elements Level III    (Dates and Times)

In this third level of Photoshop participants will explore more of the Photoshop program by putting previous lessons to use to create a variety of projects. Creating Photo Collages, a Greeting Card, a Photo Calendar and a Photo Book and Slide Show will further build confidence and skills in this program. In order to share your projects you will be shown how to burn the project onto a CD and receive some printing tips to get the best results.

Premier Elements Level I  (Dates and Times)

Create great-looking movies in minutes by adding movie themes, dazzling visual effects and transitions, rich audio as well as interactive menus. Continue to build your video by using background music and sound effects, enhanced titles using text shadows, glows, and other effects. 

Sketchup (Dates and Times)

Google Sketchup is a software that you can use to create 3D models of anything you like. Redecorate your living room. Design a new piece of furniture. Model your city for Google Earth. Create a skatepark for your hometown then export an animation and share it on YouTube.

Web Planning (Dates and Times)

Creating a Web Site can be a daunting task without a solid plan in place. Through examples and projects participants will explore what goes into a great web site layout.

Working With Photos (Dates and Times)

Participants will learn some basic photography tips to help ensure they have the taken the best picture possible. The next step is how get the photos into your computer. Downloading and scanning options will be discussed. Organizing those photos once they are in the computer is a big part of this program: renaming photos, organizing them into folders, deleting what you don’t need, etc. Once we have the photos organized then we will explore the different programs available to edit those photos. Brightening, Cropping, and basic editing functions will be taught. The third component of working with photos includes placing the photo in a document and emailing photos (attention will be paid to file size and zipping/compressing)
